Need an Official Docket or Record?
Use the court and record type to choose the correct office. A Circuit docket, indictment, general civil filing, judgment, or execution starts with the Circuit Clerk. A divorce, custody, estate, guardianship, land, or Chancery matter starts with the Chancery Clerk. A county traffic citation, DUI, county-ordinance matter, or initial felony appearance may be Justice Court. A town citation can belong with the municipal court named on it.
- Docket sheet or case status: ask the clerk that holds the court file or use the authorized state system for a participating case.
- Court date or setting: confirm it with the responsible clerk, because calendars can be reset or changed.
- Certified record: ask the custodian for its current request method, fee, and certification option.
- Chancery or Youth-related record: contact the Chancery Clerk and ask whether the material is public or restricted.
- Justice Court ticket: retain the citation and call Justice Court before making a payment or visit.
